AOC unveils Agon AG456UCZD slightly curved gaming monitor

OLED, 240 HZ AND 44 INCHES: AOC INTRODUCED A SLIGHTLY CURVED GAMING MONITOR
OLED, 240 HZ AND 44 INCHES: AOC INTRODUCED A SLIGHTLY CURVED GAMING MONITOR

AOC has officially unveiled its cutting-edge OLED gaming monitor, which comes with a number of attractive features. For example, the AOC Agon AG456UCZD boasts a diagonal of 44.5 inches, while the OLED matrix in this case is slightly curved – the curvature is 800R, that is, the display is flatter than most competitors on the market. Due to this, it will be much easier to immerse yourself in the gameplay, and there will also be no discomfort due to an overly curved monitor. And, of course, the manufacturer focused on those characteristics that are important to the modern gamer.

The matrix installed in the AOC Agon AG456UCZD supports a refresh rate of 240 Hz, which is enough for both competitive e-sports games and single releases with a smooth picture. There is also an excellent response time of only 0.03 ms, the OLED matrix itself looks great, and a wide color palette and true blacks will allow you to get much more pleasure from beautiful graphics. In fact, the manufacturer claims that this matrix supports a 10-bit color palette, that is, more than a billion colors, while covering the DCI-P3 color space is 98.5%.

Naturally, the monitor has a KVM switch, which allows you to quickly change the signal source. On the side of the device, there are two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a USB Type-C output that supports up to 90W power delivery. And if necessary, the user will also have access to four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B. There is even an output for headphones and stereo speakers at 8 W. It’s also an incredibly bright monitor because at peak settings it produces up to 1,000 nits of brightness with a peak contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. You can comfortably play on such a monitor even on a bright sunny day, plus the device supports all modern technologies to protect the user’s eyesight.

However, the new product also has some disadvantages associated with low pixel density – the fact is that with a diagonal of 44.5 inches, the monitor has a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels, that is, the pixel density here is only 83 ppi. For comparison, a 27-inch monitor with Full HD resolution has a pixel density of 81 ppi. Considering that the manufacturer plans to sell the new product for $1,600, seeing such a low pixel density on a gaming monitor is real nonsense.
