Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27: New impressive gaming screen

Porsche Design and AOC have joined forces to present the first gaming Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 screen . The 27 ”(68.58 cm) PD27 offers an experience similar to driving a racing car: high-octane specifications (27” QHD panel, 240 Hz refresh rate, 0.5 ms MPRT), sleek and attractive, racing design and wide range features that can be used both on a daily basis and during long gaming sessions. Even before its official release, the impressive design of this new screen was honored with the Red Dot Award 2020.

Performance without compromising on style

Competitive gaming is accessible and welcoming, but the competition itself is fierce. Beginners and professionals can agree on one key factor: High performance equipment is the key to success. Just like a racing car driver predicts and calculates how to get to the top of a turn on the track, so e-sports players need to react quickly and make decisions in milliseconds. The performance of each piece of equipment is paramount, and can easily determine the outcome of a race. This is why Porsche Design leveraged the DNA of motorsport and has partnered with AOC to create a high-performance screen – especially for those gamers looking to win.

The design of the screen is accentuated by the silver element of the base, in a shape reminiscent of the cylindrical chamber of a racing car. As in a real racing car, here too it provides the user with stability, durability and endurance when the adrenaline rushes. Adhering to the design philosophy of Porsche Design that elegantly combines style and performance, the PD27 can display its logos on the table in different colors, and illuminate the back of the screen to enhance the gaming environment.

Go to the next speed

The PD27 has created the most ambitious competitive gamers and professionals who love e-sports worldwide. Displays images in QHD resolution (2560×1440) and produces a refresh rate of 240 Hz, ideal design for demanding players. The PD27 is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified , delivering vibrant, realistic colors and a wide dynamic range that allows users to immerse themselves in a simulated world. In addition, a very light 1000R curvature (1 m radius) surrounds and embraces the user, a great feature especially for the sim-racing community.

The refresh rate of 240 Hz reduces the noticeable motion blur, while the response times of 1 ms GtG and 0.5 ms MPRT guarantee a clear, gaming experience without ghosting. With AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro users enjoy smooth play without tearing. The high brightness of 550 nits of the VA panel ensures unhindered play in any lighting condition.

Leading the player’s success

The PD27 has a wireless (IR) keyboard, in the shape of a center console, for easy access to screen settings or gaming defaults. Users eager to hear the roar of engines in racing games will appreciate the 5W stereo speakers with DTS sound. For everyday functionality, the monitor has a hub of four USB 3.2 inputs, two HDMI 2.0 inputs and two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs.

The Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 display will be available in mid-November 2020 in selected Porsche Design stores, specialist retailers, but also online at www.porsche-design.com and in selected online retail stores with a suggested retail price of € 799 .
