Honor Band 6: A smartband with a smartwatch character

Honor Band 6

Honor has introduced its latest smartband and it seems to be a big step forward compared to last year’s model. The Honor Band 6 has a 1.47 ” AMOLED screen with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels and 2.5D curved glass. Seeing only the screen size, the Band 6 looks more like a smartwatch. The new smartband is wider and thicker than its predecessor, although it seems to be several millimeters shorter. In any case, the functions of the Band 6 are quite similar to those of the previous model.

Honor Band 6 can and does monitor heart rate, blood oxygenation, sleep quality and has a health management function especially for women. It also offers activity tracking for 10 different sports with automatic detection and is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters. Once the Band 6 is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth, it can provide the user with a variety of notifications while also giving possibilities to control the music playback.

From the application that accompanies Band 6, the user will be able to choose from a variety of different watch faces. In fact, for the first time, Honor equips the Band series with a fast charging function. With just 5 minutes of charging the user will have at his disposal autonomy for up to 2 days while with full charge the lifespan of the smartband reaches 14 days. In all likelihood, 14 days is achieved using the Battery Saver feature. Also important is the fact that it weighs only 18 grams.

The Honor Band 6 will cost China 249 yuan (about $ 37) while the model with NFC will cost 289 yuan (about $ 43). Pre-orders in China have already started with the first release date set for November 11th.
