Google will launch Pixel 5, a smart speaker and a new Chromecast on September 30th

Google has sent out invitations to an event that takes place on September 30, which can be followed online via a stream.

Google’s Launch Night In, as the event is called, starts at 11 a.m. in the United States (that is 8 p.m. Dutch time). Initially, the idea was that the event could not be followed online and would only be accessible to invited journalists. But in the meantime, the search engine giant has confirmed that there will indeed be a live stream, which you can probably follow via YouTube.

Google event on September 30

The event will most likely focus on all kinds of Google products that the company will release in the coming months. It was already known that the tech giant will at least present the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a at an event in the fall, so that must be this event. The company is also working on a new smart speaker under the Nest brand name and we know that a new kind of Chromecast model is being worked on, which is called Sabrina behind the scenes. That media player probably has Android TV, making it more than just a Google Chromecast.

It is also likely that Google will also present its new thermostat. Last weekend, it was discussed that the new Nest thermostat had been approved by the FCC, the American communications watchdog. Usually when products show up at the FCC, they are almost ready for market launch. In any case, Google has a lot to say at the end of September, but the company has not yet confirmed anything about this.
