Despite the failure in all senses of the multiplayer game Fallout 76, the fan base of the franchise has not diminished at all – the Fallout universe is in great demand all over the world, and in 2020 the Amazon management decided to make a full-fledged series on this universe. True, since then there has been little information about the project, but now the situation has changed – the information publication Variety, citing its sources, reported that this series acquired two showrunners at once, and the full start of filming is scheduled for 2022. Of course, it’s too early to talk about the release date, but there is plenty of information about the series.
For example, the publication confirmed information that Jonathan Nolan, who had a hand in The Dark Knight, Interstellar and Westworld, will direct the pilot episode of the series. It is worth noting that earlier he, along with Lisa Joy, were announced as executive producers of the project, but apparently Amazon decided to expand the powers of the eminent character in the world of big cinema. And the showrunners of the series will be Geneva Robertson-Duoret and Graham Wagner – also quite bright personalities in the world of cinema, who previously created large films with impressive box office receipts. Robertson-Duoret, for example, has Marvel’s Captain Marvel behind him and the not-so-successful Lara Croft relaunch.
Graham Wagner, on the other hand, had a hand in the rather famous series Silicon Valley and The Office. Rounding out the all-star leadership is Todd Howard himself – he will also be involved in the series’ development as an executive producer from Bethesda Game Studios. Accordingly, the result should be a good series in the Fallout universe about the events of 2077, when people who survived a nuclear war try to exist in a new world inhabited by mutants and many difficulties.
