Volvo unveils luxurious version of the EX90 electric car

VOLVO INTRODUCED A LUXURIOUS VERSION OF THE EX90 ELECTRIC CAR
VOLVO INTRODUCED A LUXURIOUS VERSION OF THE EX90 ELECTRIC CAR

Today, April 17th, Volvo has officially unveiled a luxurious version of its already premium EX90 crossover – we are talking about the Excellence package, which will be of interest to those who want to get an advanced electric car, but with a full range of options and expensive interior trim materials. Actually, the cabin itself is designed for four passengers, the back row of seats is made in the “captain’s” format instead of the usual three-seater sofa, and the finishing materials allow the potential buyer to understand that he bought a flagship luxury car, but without significant environmental damage.

Volvo decided to remind that they also has a good arsenal of premium chips for electric cars of the future.

Volvo decided to remind that they also has a good arsenal of premium chips for electric cars of the future.

For example, in the cabin of the vehicle you can find a refrigerator for transporting drinks and more, an advanced Bowers & Wilkins audio system (with speakers in the headrests) with Dolby Atmos surround sound support, and many climate and seat adjustment functions for both front and rear passengers. True, there are some rather strange moments that are also worth paying attention to. Since Volvo tried to preserve nature and at the same time make the interior as expensive as possible, the trim elements here are made from recycled secondary raw materials – plastic bottles, bio-based materials, cork wood and so on.

Of course, not every buyer wants to have a premium car with a recycled interior, but now this is a very fashionable direction in the development of the automotive industry. At the same time, they decided to paint the car body in two colors, just like the Mercedes-Maybach, which looks really nice, plus the potential buyer will have an impressive selection of different wheels for literally every taste and color. And this is where the advantages of the luxurious version can end, because in terms of power plants, the car cannot stand out in any way – it has a battery with a power reserve of 650 kilometers in the CLTC cycle and two electric motors.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the cost of the Volvo EX90 Excellence yet, as well as an approximate release date. But the manufacturer has already stated that China will be the priority market for this luxurious version of the electric crossover, and only then, probably, if sales go well, the car will be sent to other regions – to the same Europe. This may seem a little strange, because Volvo is a Swedish company, but in fact it has long been owned by Geely and it is because of this that China will be the first market.
