McLaren unveils $2000 electric scooter

This is an electric scooter that was released by a subsidiary brand Lavoie. The famous automotive designer Ian Callum worked on the model – among his works are the Jaguar F-Type, Aston Martin DB7, Ford RS200 and other models. There are two models in the line: Series 1 and Series 1 MAX.

Lavoie Series 1 with a 468 Wh battery weighs 18.5 kg and is designed for distances up to 40 km at a speed of 19 km/h. The Series 1 MAX model with a 702 Wh battery and a weight of 19.5 kg, in turn, can cover a distance of up to 70 km and costs $2230.

Separately, it is worth noting an unusual mechanism that allows you to put the scooter directly on the frame and fold it for carrying and storage. True, there are small concerns for the reliability of such a design while driving. But the abundance of LED elements will definitely increase visibility in the evening.

Scooters are equipped with a built-in GPS beacon, they can be controlled through a special application. The first 469 pieces will be individually numbered and decorated with a special plate created by CALLUM design bureau.

In homage to the first electric two-wheeler, which was patented in April 1869, Founders Edition owners will have exclusive access to the company’s new products, updates, and private scooter gatherings.
