Trulli Audio has released the JAM5, the first portable speaker to feature Trulli’s patented ThinDriver technology.
The JAM5 used a configuration with two TD38S ThinDrivers combined with two opposing passive radiators and a center tweeter. The model, according to reviews, “impresses with its low bass.”
A pair of speakers can be used in a stereo configuration. Through the USB-C port, the novelty can be connected directly to a Mac or PC for real-time monitoring.
ThinDriver is a proprietary driver that uses an open ring of powerful n48 neodymium magnets around a large perimeter driven voice coil.
The design received a diffuserless (or rather, equipped with a flat membrane) X-max configuration. This allows the driver to be placed in an enclosure that cannot accommodate traditional speakers with comparable capabilities.
