Sony HT-A5000: New 5.1.2 soundbar with Dolby Atmos

Meet the Sony HT-A5000, a 5.1.2 soundbar designed to create an immersive cinema ambience in your own apartment with multidirectional sound. The main features of the new device are support for surround formats Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, special speakers facing upward, and proprietary Sony audio processing technologies.

This soundbar, according to the manufacturer, will realistically recreate the multidimensional sound of home theater systems with ceiling speakers. A special role in this is assigned to the Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force Pro Front Surround technologies, which form a surround sound stage that envelops the viewer.

Your walls and ceilings are critical components for the HT-A5000, so the unit is equipped with microphones that will help it evaluate your room and automatically calibrate for optimal sound quality. Moreover, this feature will indicate the best locations for the subwoofer and rear speakers if you decide to add them to the soundbar for a fee.

The soundbar itself includes a dual subwoofer, two upward and three front speakers, and two tweeters. In addition, the device supports DSEE Extreme technology, which uses artificial intelligence to improve the quality of ordinary sound to a level close to Hi Res Audio, and 360 Reality Audio surround format, in which songs are already available on popular music streaming platforms. As a result, the HT-A5000 can fulfill the dream of not only moviegoers, but also music lovers in one device.

Well, gamers will be interested in the presence of an HDMI 2.1 port with the ability to pass a 4K / 120Hz signal. In addition, for connections, the HT-A5000 offers wireless technologies AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
