Power Box DS3 is a device for true fans of the products of the Austrian company Pro-Ject. IT alone is able to provide clean linear power to 6 devices. In total, among Pro-Ject products, about 70 devices are compatible with it, however, it is separately noted that it is not suitable for integrated amplifiers and power amplifiers.
The DS3 provides 9, 15 and 18 V supply voltages and, of course, is “sharpened” specifically for Pro-Ject products, although it is probably compatible with models from other brands if the current and voltage match. As far as the machine’s endurance goes, Pro-Ject says the Power Box DS3 is “built to last.”
Other features worth noting are 10,000 uF low ESR filter capacitors, surge protection, low self-noise, soft start system (no inrush current). The mains transformer is equipped with a copper foil shield, and the entire device is enclosed in a robust aluminum housing, which also protects against interference.
The novelty is already available in black or silver, it can be decorated with wooden side panels on magnetic mounts. This accessory is sold separately.
In Europe, the Pro-Ject Power Box DS3 will cost 700 euros.
