Lyngdorf TDAI-3400 gets HDMI 2.1

The Danish company Lyngdorf Audio has introduced a new module with HDMI 2.1 ports for its TDAI-3400 stereo receiver . For this flagship model, the manufacturer has always offered various optional modules for analog sources, including a phono stage, as well as HDMI modules – first version 1.4, a little later – 2.0.

Two years ago, Lyngdorf Audio was one of the first manufacturers to add HDMI 2.1 ports to its flagship MP-60 multi-channel processor. A little later, the company offered a replacement module with HDMI 2.1 ports for the first generation of the MP-50 cinema processor. And now, Lyngdorf Audio has announced that the latest HDMI 2.1 module for the flagship TDAI-3400 stereo receiver will become available in early March 2023. Moreover, the owners of this receiver will be able to upgrade the module to a new version. This module offers two HDMI inputs for connecting various sources and one HDMI output with ARC support .

Steinway Lyngdorf CEO and CTO Thomas Birkelund said: “We always strive to provide our customers with the latest technology for the best possible video/audio quality. Equipping the latest 2.1 version of our flagship stereo amplifier with HDMI ports, as well as providing the ability to upgrade existing amplifiers, highlights our focus on technology and customers . ”

Some of the key features of the new HDMI 2.1 module are:

  • – Supports 8K 50/60Hz and 4K 100/120Hz video switching
  • – Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) support
  • – Supports Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate Modes (VRR)
  • – Supports both static and dynamic HDR for high dynamic range and wide color gamut
  • – Support for HDCP content protection version 2.3
