For most listeners, the Arcam name is almost synonymous with amplifiers, streamers, and AV electronics. Loudspeakers have barely been part of the conversation for decades. That changes with the new Radia Speaker Series, a complete family of speakers designed to work hand-in-hand with the brand’s modern electronics.
It’s not just a token release or a couple of lifestyle speakers, either. This is a full range, from compact bookshelf models to large floorstanders, a center channel, and an active subwoofer—clearly aimed at both serious stereo systems and full home-cinema setups.

A return with a clear system focus
Arcam actually built speakers back in the 1980s, but the company gradually shifted its focus toward electronics. With the Radia Speaker Series, it’s not trying to relive the past. Instead, the goal is to create a coherent system where speakers, amplifiers, and room correction work together as one.
The new speakers are designed to be flexible enough to work with any quality amplifier, but they’re also tuned to match the character of Arcam’s Radia electronics. Think of them as the missing piece of the Radia ecosystem rather than a separate product line.
Design that matches the Radia electronics
Visually, the speakers clearly belong to the same family as the Radia amplifiers and AV components. The cabinets feature black walnut finishes, clean lines, and subtle yellow accents that echo the look of the electronics without turning the speakers into design statements.

Under the surface, the cabinets are heavily braced to reduce unwanted resonances, and the front grilles attach magnetically for a clean, minimalist appearance. Optional stands for the bookshelf models follow the same understated design language.
Across the passive lineup, Arcam uses a shared 25 mm tweeter with a ceramic composite structure and aluminum dome. It sits in a custom Acoustic Lens waveguide, designed to control dispersion and maintain stable imaging across a wider listening area.

For the midrange and bass drivers, Arcam relies on ceramic composite diaphragms chosen for their stiffness and low mass, with different sizes and configurations used across the range depending on the role of each speaker.
From compact bookshelves to full-scale floorstanders
The lineup starts with the R15, a compact two-way bookshelf speaker designed for smaller rooms or systems where precision matters more than outright volume. It uses a 130 mm woofer and is aimed at listeners who want clean, balanced sound without taking up much space.

Step up to the R25, and you get a larger cabinet and a 165 mm woofer. It’s still a bookshelf design, but with more bass extension and dynamic headroom, making it suitable for medium-sized rooms or as the main speakers in a compact home-cinema setup.
The R35 marks the move into floorstanding territory. This three-way design uses multiple bass drivers, a dedicated midrange, and the same ceramic-based tweeter, delivering a fuller, more room-filling presentation. It’s designed for real-world living spaces where you want the scale of a floorstander without overwhelming the room.

At the top of the range sits the R45, the flagship model. With larger drivers, deeper bass extension, and greater dynamic capability, it’s built for bigger rooms and listeners who want effortless sound at higher volumes without losing control or composure.
Built for home cinema as well
Arcam hasn’t forgotten multi-channel users. The R35C center speaker is designed to anchor dialogue and front-stage effects in a home-cinema setup, using dual woofers around the same ceramic tweeter for even dispersion.

For low-frequency duties, the series includes the R25B active subwoofer. It uses a 250 mm driver powered by a 750-watt amplifier, delivering deep, controlled bass for both stereo and surround systems.

What makes the Radia Speaker Series interesting isn’t just the specs or the design. It’s the intent behind it. Arcam isn’t chasing trends or building lifestyle speakers—it’s returning to loudspeaker design with a clear system philosophy.

By offering electronics, speakers, and room-correction solutions that are designed to work together, Arcam is positioning the Radia line as a complete ecosystem. For listeners who want a coherent stereo or home-cinema setup without mixing and matching across brands, that approach could be very appealing.
It’s a low-key comeback, but a significant one—and it signals that Arcam is once again thinking about the entire signal chain, not just the electronics at its center.
