Estonia-based Audes has launched a new power conditioner called the ST-200, as well as a new power cord. The cord comes in a standard length of 1.5 meters but can be extended in 0.5-meter increments up to 3.5 meters. The ST-200 is primarily designed for sources, not for heavy-duty power amplifiers.

The Audes TT-Series Power Conditioners (“TT” stands for “Twin Transformer”), the TT-1700DC and TT-3200DC, are very successful. The sound quality is further enhanced by the use of two transformers, one for the power section and the other for the peripherals. With several thousand ST-Series Power Conditioners (Single Transformer) sold worldwide, Audes is introducing the ST-200 Power Conditioner.

Owners of an ST-Series power conditioner, such as the ST-500DC, ST-900DC, ST-1500DC, or ST-3000DC, can easily create a TT configuration by adding the ST-200. The 200VA transformer housed in the ST-200 is identical to that in the TT-1700DC, TT-3200DC, and DT-3600DC.
This means two Power Conditioners can be combined. An ST-1500DC combined with an ST-200 is technically identical to the TT-1700DC, and an ST-3000DC combined with an ST-200 is technically identical to the TT-3200DC. Of course, the ST-900DC and ST-500DC can also be expanded and upgraded with an ST-200.
For audio equipment requiring no more than 200VA, the ST-200 can also be used as a standalone power conditioner. The ST-200 is therefore not intended for use with a powerful power amplifier. The ST-200 can deliver 200VA continuously. All power ratings quoted by Audes are continuous ratings.

The ST-200 does not have a DC Blocker because this size transformer does not require one. Furthermore, the ST-200 will often be connected to an outlet on an existing Audes Power Conditioner, which technically cannot be connected to DC, according to Audes.
An additional advantage of the new TT configuration is the expansion of the number of outlets. For example, an ST-1500DC combined with an ST-200 provides eight outlets: four for power equipment and four for sources and other devices. So, someone interested in an Audes power strip to expand their Audes Power Conditioner can purchase an ST-200 and simultaneously improve the sound quality.
The Audes ST-200 Power Conditioner has a suggested retail price of $990.

The long-awaited Audes Power Cable is here. This cable was a long time in the making, and a lot of listening went into it, because that’s what it’s all about. Audes doesn’t want to reveal too much about the technology, but according to the designers, this power cable competes with cables costing four to five times as much. This is, of course, a huge achievement, especially considering that this cable costs “only” €1,200 for the standard length of 1.5 meters.
The Power Cable comes with a choice of C13 or C19 connectors and is available in lengths of 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 meters. The power cable is delivered in a velvety protective sleeve and is packaged in a stylish box with a magnetic closure.
Each half meter above the standard length of 1.5 meters costs $200.
