The Hegel Control app has been enhanced with several new features and is now compatible with the Hegel H600 and Hegel H400 models on both Apple iOS and Google Android platforms. This release is also accompanied by a firmware update for Hegel Music Systems’ two stereo integrated amplifiers. The Hegel H400 Streamliner clearly signifies that Hegel Music Systems’ latest stereo integrated amplifier is designed with streaming capabilities in mind. Similarly, the Hegel H600 Integrated Stereo Amplifier, introduced in the summer of 2023, features an integrated streaming client, making it a highly versatile and contemporary option.
The two systems are integrated through a newly developed platform, enabling Hegel Music Systems to provide not only updated firmware for these solutions but also to introduce the new Hegel Control app compatible with Apple iOS and Google Android.
The foundation for utilizing the latest iteration of the Hegel Control App, along with its associated advancements, lies in the firmware updates that Hegel Music Systems has introduced for its premier stereo integrated amplifiers. The updated firmware for the Hegel H400 Streamliner and Hegel H600 Integrated Stereo Amplifier systems designates them as Roon Ready, allowing for seamless integration within the media management and multi-room high-resolution audio streaming framework provided by Roon Labs LLC. Furthermore, the manufacturer highlights that this update includes support for TIDAL Max, which is TIDAL’s service offering high-resolution audio content in FLAC format. With the introduction of the new Hegel Control app, users can now access content through Airable Internet Radio, including podcasts, on their amplifier systems. Additionally, the Hegel Control app enables control of these high-end amplifier systems from the esteemed Norwegian manufacturer via smartphones running on Apple iOS and Google Android platforms.
It goes without saying that the latest firmware updates and the new Hegel Control App are available free of charge.
