Philips has announced a turntable with a built-in CD player. Or is it a CD player with a turntable mounted on top? Well, let’s not get into a debate about Philips’ new Fidelio FT1. It also features Bluetooth connectivity and an Audio-Technica MM cartridge. Philips has also announced the FA3, a pair of matching active speakers.
Philips Fidelio FT1: complete turntable and CD player

The Philips Fidelio FT1 looks like a standard modern turntable, but it also features a built-in CD player with a front-loading tray. The platter is belt-driven.offers two playback speeds.

The Fidelio FT1 features a die-cast aluminum platter and a heavy-duty rubber slipmat to reduce vibration. The extruded aluminum tonearm comes with a pre-installed and replaceable Audio Technica MM cartridge. At the end of the record, the platter automatically stops rotating.
Philips has built in a phono amplifier, and the music signal is output via a stereo RCA jack. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included in the minimalist, modern design.

Wireless connectivity is trendy, and it’s possible. The FT1 features Bluetooth 5.4, allowing you to send the music signal from a record or CD to compatible wireless speakers and headphones. Auracast sharing and the LC3 codec are also supported.
The Fidelio Ft1 has physical controls and a dimmable LCD information display. A dust cover and remote control are included.
Philips FA3: active speakers

In addition to the FT1, Philips has also announced the FA3 wireless active two-way speakers. These compact speakers each feature a separate 50-watt amplifier for the 5-inch fiberglass mid/bass driver and the 1-inch titanium tweeter.
Wired music signals can be input via HDMI ARC, USB-C, optical S/PDIF, and a RCA line-in. Wireless connectivity is also available via Bluetooth 5.4, LC3, and Auracast sharing.

Philips’ new products are reportedly expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2026.
