Steam Deck Competitor: MSI Unveils Claw Portable Gaming PC

MSI’s announcement of the new Claw portable gaming PC at CES 2024 has created quite a stir among gaming enthusiasts. The reason for this is the fact that the new product is powered by an Intel Meteor Lake processor, which significantly distinguishes it from its main competitors Steam Deck, Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go, which use AMD processors.

Steam Deck Competitor: MSI Unveils Claw Portable Gaming PCThe MSI Claw features a bright 7-inch FHD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is the same size as the Asus ROG Ally screen. However, the Claw stands out with its unique design and unusual A, B, X and Y buttons.

The device is equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and integrated Intel Arc graphics, which promises high performance. It is slightly heavier than most devices of this type (675g). PC storage options are extensive, with up to 1TB of SSD storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

MSI particularly emphasizes the Claw’s battery life. According to the company, the 53 Wh battery will provide an impressive two hours of battery life, which is essential for gamers on the go.

The start of sales of MSI Claw in the markets is expected in the first half of 2024.
