The new wireless active speakers SC-CX700 from Technics were presented at IFA 2024 as an absolute world premiere. The system is designed as a plug-and-play system and wants to work that way. It can also serve as a replacement for a soundbar with the television. The connection is easy to establish with HDMI ARC. Completely in line with the times, extensive streaming functions are available.
Two-way active bass reflex speaker system
The buyer of the new wireless speaker system can choose between the colors Charcoal Black, Silky Gray and Terracotta Brown. As we already learned at the High End 2024 in Munich, the new speakers were developed as an adaptation, or rather as a further development, of the existing hi-fi systems from the C series, only now the amplifier block has been eliminated, so to speak.
The two-way bass reflex system can be operated via buttons on the top or the supplied remote control or the Technics app. According to the designers, the SC-CX700 delivers a rich and clear sound that makes listening to music an experience; the system is not picky when it comes to music genres. The system is designed as a plug-and-play solution and offers a quick and easy installation. Music signal can be received wirelessly via WiFi or via a wired connection on the back of the primary speaker. One of those connections is an HDMI ARC connection so that a television can be connected. The soundbar can be found on marktplaats.nl. All common streaming services are supported. And the SC-CX700 has a turntable input.
The innovative Space Tune technology ensures that the sound is adjusted to the room acoustics, regardless of where the speakers are placed. Using the Technics Audio Center App (TAC), users can easily operate the system via Android and iOS devices and personalize the sound.
The SC-CX700 offers the perfect balance between style and functionality. The JENO amplifier technology already known from other products is also present here. The lightweight ring tweeter enables an ultra-fast response to music signals, ensuring faithful reproduction. Another technical highlight is the Model Based Diaphragm Control (MBDC), a technology that precisely controls the deflection of the driver to ensure pure sound reproduction, even at high volumes.
Price and delivery information
The SC-CX700 Wireless speaker system will be available in specialist stores from October 2024 and has a recommended retail price of just under 2,500 euros.
