At the recent CES 2024, SVS, widely known for its subwoofers and diverse line of home theater speakers, unveiled its newest flagship Ultra Evolution series, scheduled to launch in early spring.
Gary Yacoubian, President of SVS, shared his impressions: “This is the most significant launch in the history of our company. We offer a product that can compete with the best speaker systems in the world, but in a more affordable price segment. We have implemented a number of unique technological solutions.”
The new Ultra Evolution line replaces the popular Ultra series and includes three models of floor-standing speakers with diffusers operating in antiphase, two models of bookshelf speakers, a speaker system for creating surround sound and a center channel.
SVS Ultra Evolution
Floor-standing speakers are equipped with a specially designed front panel, the task of which is precise time synchronization of the speakers. The tweeter is located in the center and slightly tilted towards the midrange drivers and bass drivers, creating a point-source effect and providing an ideal sound experience.
Additionally, the Ultra Evolution Series features a new diamond-coated tweeter, which Yacoubian says is the best the company has ever created. “It provides clarity and detail at high frequencies without causing any listening discomfort,” says SVS President.
Prices for floorstanding speakers start at $3,000 per pair for the Ultra Evolution Tower model and go up to $5,000 per pair for the flagship Ultra Evolution Pinnacle. Bookshelf speakers range in price from $899 to $1,299 per pair.
