Discover a whole new level of surround sound. The Sony HT-A7000 Soundbar envelops you in natural 7.1.2 surround sound with multiple speakers, S-Force PRO Front Surround and Vertical Surround Engine. Feel the sound above your head and around you. Sony introduces its 2021 flagship soundbar, the HT-A7000. With a length of 130 cm (which corresponds to the width of a screen with a diagonal of 55-60 inches), the new product has a cross-section of approximately 8×14 cm. These dimensions managed to accommodate a built-in double subwoofer, two upward-firing and five front speakers, complemented by a pair of tweeters, not to mention the entire necessary electronics.

The Sony HT-A7000 soundbar uses a 7.1.2-channel system: two vertically-firing speakers send sound overhead, two tweeters and five front speakers expand the surround sound, and a built-in dual subwoofer provides deep bass. Using Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround, the HT-A7000 delivers immersive virtual surround sound to give you the full Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X experience. With Sony’s Virtual Surround technology, the soundbar projects sound into a vertical field, creating a 3D sound experience without the need for overhead speakers. Like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the Vertical Surround Engine creates more realistic, immersive sound in other formats.

Sony’s unique digital sound field processing technology virtually reproduces the surround sound field so you can hear sound from both sides using only the front speaker. You get rich, cinema-like surround sound without cluttering up the space. Relax and enjoy space-filling acoustics: two vertically-firing speakers send sound overhead, two tweeters and five front speakers expand surround sound, and a subwoofer delivers deep bass. The vertically-firing speakers, built-in subwoofer and front speaker system are equipped with X-Balanced Speaker Unit technology. Thanks to the unique rectangular shape of these speakers, the cone area is increased and the bass is richer. Additionally, speaker vibration is suppressed, maintaining sound pressure and delivering clear vocals with less distortion.

Enjoy your music the way it was intended, with high-resolution audio for crystal-clear audio delivery. And 360 Reality Audio technology creates a completely immersive experience – as if you were at a concert or in a recording studio. DSEE Extreme™ digital audio enhancement technology uses Edge-AI to enhance the resolution of compressed music files in real time. It dynamically recognizes musical instruments, genres, and song elements such as vocals and interludes, and restores high-frequency detail lost during compression for rich, natural sound. With a built-in user interface, the soundbar’s settings automatically appear in the Quick Settings menu of BRAVIA TVs, allowing you to easily control sound modes, sound field and volume.

There is no need to precisely position the speakers. The HT-A7000 soundbar with a built-in microphone does everything for you – determines the vertical and horizontal distance of each speaker and optimizes the sound for your room. The Sony HT-A7000 soundbar allows you to enjoy the result of optimized sound field, regardless of the presence of additional speakers. Activation in the initial parameters or in the main menu. Easily log into music services like Spotify and stream all your favorite albums and playlists using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay 2. Invite your family and get the party started. Connect to Spotify directly through your speaker and install the Spotify Connect™ app on your device to control playback remotely. Stream music, online radio and podcasts from your smartphone, tablet or laptop to your audio device with just a tap of the broadcast button. Listen to your favorite music and more by connecting the sound bar to your Apple device. Just one touch.

subwoofer  The Sony SA-SW5 subwoofer is an active wireless subwoofer that will help amplify low-frequency section in a proprietary home theater system and significantly expand the bass capabilities of the soundbar. For example, such a subwoofer can organically complement the innovative Sony HT-A9 set or the HT-A7000 soundbar. The model is equipped with a 180 mm bass driver built into the front panel of the case. The driver uses advanced technical solutions, in particular, the proprietary Σ (Sigma) Magnetic Circuit technology – the so-called “sigmoid magnetic circuit”, thanks to which it is possible to increase the magnetic field force acting on the voice coil and causing it to move. As a result, according to the manufacturer’s information, deeper and more powerful low frequencies are provided. The speaker surround has many notches that help control the mechanical stress that occurs inside and outside the edge of the diaphragm, i.e. the purpose of this solution is to ensure precise symmetrical vertical movement of the diffuser. The result is lower distortion and a cleaner sound. The technology is called “Separated Notch Edge”. The low-frequency driver is loaded by the built-in S-Master amplifier, capable of delivering a maximum power of 300 W.

The design of the case, which has characteristic rounded corners, is made in accordance with the concept of a one-piece “omnidirectional block” Omnidirectional Block, which allows the subwoofer not only to visually blend perfectly with branded home theater systems and sound bars, but also to minimize the diffraction of sound waves. The combined textured finish of the Sony SA-SW5 harmonizes well with modern interiors. The model’s body has a closed design, but uses an oval-shaped passive bass radiator, directed downward and contributing to more powerful low frequencies. Thanks to this design, the subwoofer can be placed virtually anywhere in the room without fear of getting booming bass.

The Sony SA-SW5 subwoofer connects to the system only wirelessly (Wireless Sound Specification Version 4.0). To do this, just connect the subwoofer to the power supply, after which it will automatically establish a wireless connection with a proprietary DC system or sound bar. On the back of the case there are two buttons, one of which is used to turn on the subwoofer, and the second is intended for manual installation of wireless pairing, if the need arises. The front panel has a universal LED indicator, which transmits information about the status of wireless pairing, transition to standby mode, and software updates.
