Revival Audio, a French loudspeaker manufacturer, has introduced the latest addition to its Atalante series: the Atalante 7 Evo. This three-way loudspeaker is designed to enhance the Atalante legacy, establishing new benchmarks in high-fidelity performance. It features an upgraded RASC Evo tweeter, an enhanced RASC Evo midrange, and the first 15-inch BSC woofer in the high-end market.

The new speaker is a harmonious blend of elegance and engineering, according to the manufacturer. The Atalante 7 Evo was designed in collaboration with the Parisian award-winning A+A Cooren Studio. The refined proportions, sculpted lines and premium materials elevate it to more than just a speaker: it is an artful statement of sound and design, according to Revival Audio .
The cabinet is finished with a combination of premium walnut and ebony veneer. Thanks to the sensitivity of 90 dB and the impedance of six Ohms, the Atalante 7 Evo can be effortlessly combined with a wide range of amplifiers. The specified frequency response is from 23 Hz to 24 kHz (at level -6 dB). Revival Audio supplies a matching stand with the speaker. The stand is therefore not optional, as with many other manufacturers.

Revival Audio develops and builds its own drivers for its speakers. The RASC tweeter features an Anti Resonance Inner Dome (ARID) that absorbs 97 percent of internal resonance, eliminating distortion, according to the makers. The pure aluminum voice coil is suspended in a neodymium magnet system. The Tetron Dome is specially coated for a smooth response and natural highs.

The midrange driver also features ARID technology and a neodymium magnet. A dual suspension system ensures linear movement across all frequencies, reducing distortion and improving clarity and articulation. The coil is made of copper-clad aluminum wire and has a shorting ring that reduces distortion and improves transient response and micro-dynamics.
The woofer has a Basalt Sandwich Construction cone (BSC). Basalt is made of lava rock and is naturally stiff but has a relatively low specific mass. The cone has a linear excursion of 10 millimeters and a high-roll surround. The 3-inch voice coil hangs in an extra large magnet.
