The latest “Ace” series from Piega represents a contemporary and sophisticated evolution of the Piega TMicro series loudspeakers. While the exceptional fundamental technical specifications have been preserved, several innovative features elevate this new generation of loudspeakers to a pinnacle of craftsmanship.
This new collection features the compact yet powerful Piega Ace 30 bookshelf loudspeaker, the sleek and stylish Piega Ace 50 floorstanding loudspeaker, and the Piega Ace Center central channel loudspeaker. As is customary, these loudspeakers are offered in silver, black anodized, and white lacquered finishes.
The Piega Ace series showcases sleek and timeless aluminum enclosures, designed by Swiss designer Stefan Hürlemann, exuding a refined aesthetic. The distinctive oval form, gently rounded towards the baffle, exemplifies Piega’s signature style, where all components of the speaker system are nearly seamlessly integrated. The front grille is elegantly curved, mirroring the speaker’s profile, resulting in a cohesive cabinet design that blends effortlessly into any interior setting.
Retaining the hallmark feature of the previous Piega TMicro series, the AMT-1 (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter is a key element of the Piega Ace series. This ribbon tweeter employs an exceptionally lightweight curved membrane measuring 24 x 36 mm, paired with a robust magnet system crafted from high-purity neodymium. The AMT-1 delivers a spacious and intricate sound with outstanding transient response and minimal distortion.
The MDS cone drivers, which are also a product of Piega’s innovation, have undergone a redesign aimed at enhancing bass and midrange performance, resulting in remarkable bass quality for the Ace series speakers given their dimensions.
The Piega Ace 50 floorstanding speakers deliver an unexpectedly robust sound. The woofer’s optimized chassis generates nearly double the acoustic power compared to the earlier TMicro model, enriching and clarifying the bass tones. Additionally, the midrange linearity has been enhanced, yielding an exceptionally natural sound typically associated with larger floorstanding speakers.
