American loudspeaker manufacturer Perlisten has launched a new product line called the A Series. This new line complements the lower end of its portfolio and, according to the designers, offers technology from higher-end product lines but at a more accessible price. The A Series consists of four speakers: two floorstanders, a monitor model, and a wall-mounted surround model.

Perlisten is a relatively new loudspeaker manufacturer but has already firmly established itself on the international high-end scene thanks to its uncompromising loudspeaker technology. The S-series speakers are considered a technical benchmark. The slightly more accessible R-series translates many of these technologies into a more versatile format without compromising their sound quality. A sneak peek of the new A-series was released in early July 2025. The manufacturer has now made more photos and technical information available and officially launched the speakers.

With the A series, Perlisten says it’s opening a new chapter. The designers say the focus is on providing access to the brand’s world without compromising on development, production, or acoustic performance. Designed from the ground up as a standalone platform, the A series is aimed at discerning music lovers and film enthusiasts who demand the highest sonic precision.
Perlsten A Series; new tweeter
A hallmark of the A-series is the completely newly developed tweeter with a 38-millimeter Teteron dome, embedded in a specially shaped waveguide. This combination ensures wideband, controlled dispersion, enabling even and flexible sound distribution in both traditional stereo applications and complex multi-channel systems.

In the bass range, all models in the series use 215-millimeter drivers with carbon fiber diaphragms. The low weight and high rigidity of these diaphragms contribute significantly to impulse fidelity and tonal precision.
The cabinet designs of the A-series also reflect this uncompromising approach: depending on the model, bass-reflex or closed-back designs are used, with all cabinets acoustically precisely matched according to the manufacturer. Combined with comprehensive Klippel NFS measurement—including directional analysis, power response, and distortion measurement—this results in outstanding consistency and linearity across the entire sound spectrum.

The four models in the A-series cover a wide range of applications. At the heart of the series is the A4t, a floorstander with three woofers featuring a carbon fiber cone. It offers impressive dynamics and controlled bass down to below 20 Hz, making it ideal for large listening rooms or high-precision cinema setups.
A more compact alternative is the A3t, which also uses the combination of carbon fiber drivers and a Teteron waveguide, but with two woofers instead of three. Despite its compact size, this model also achieves astonishing low frequencies, and its design allows it to be used in both classic stereo configurations and as an LCR speaker in multichannel systems.

The A3m is a compact, closed-back monitor, ideal for desk, shelf, or stand use. Its closed-back design delivers exceptionally dry and precise bass response, making it ideal as a central component in high-quality 2.1 systems or as a monitor speaker for smaller rooms.
The A2s completes the series and is a speaker specifically designed for surround, rear, or height applications. Its flat, sealed enclosure and optional V120 mount make it ideal for wall or ceiling mounting in home theater systems.
The A-series is not a compromise product, but a conscious expansion of the Perlisten portfolio, Perlisten explains. Despite their entry-level nature, all models benefit from the same principles that already characterized the S- and R-series: patented drivers, sonically optimized waveguide geometries, precise cabinet tuning, and full Klippel metering.
