Klipsch R-41PM: Reference active speakers

Klipsch R-41PM
Klipsch R-41PM

Compact speaker systems Klipsch R-41PM occupy a junior position in the brand’s Reference series of active speaker systems. The model is designed to work with a variety of signal sources, including TV, computer, Bluetooth devices and even a vinyl player. The speaker allows you to save space in the room and do without a bulky AV receiver, without losing sound quality.

The bookshelf has a reliable rigid body made of MDF with a spectacular black polymer finish and a bass reflex pipe located in its rear part. Each speaker is equipped with a 0.75-inch aluminum diaphragm compression tweeter loaded onto a Tractrix horn. The midwoofer is a four-inch driver with magnetic shielding and a rigid cone made of IMG cast graphite coated with a layer of copper.

The Klipsch R-41PM uses a highly efficient amplification system with sophisticated circuit topology and select, precisely matched components. As a result, it is possible to obtain a smooth frequency response, a wide dynamic range, and also minimize distortion. Each speaker provides 35 W of power. The shelf holder does not require any special settings and is ready to start working right out of the box. Thanks to the presence of a phono preamplifier integrated into the housing of the right leading speaker, the connection of a vinyl turntable becomes available. There is a built-in Bluetooth circuit with support for the aptX codec, which provides CD-like sound quality.

The rear panel of the leading speaker is occupied by a plate with switching and a volume control. The two RCA connectors located there can be used both as a standard line input and as phono connectors for a vinyl player. To select the required function, a selector switch is installed nearby. There is an Aux input mini-jack, a USB port for working with a computer, an optical input and an RCA socket for a subwoofer, thanks to which you can enhance the bass potential of the system. To connect the slave speaker (left speaker), two screw terminals are used (the kit includes a specially designed speaker cable for this purpose). A standard remote control is provided to control the Klipsch R-41PM. There is a built-in indicator on the facade of the right speaker, which signals in a certain color when a source corresponding to this color is selected.
