The new Premium series of active subwoofers from the French company Elipson consists of three cone sections, ranging in size. The manufacturer offers a choice of cone diameters of 10, 12, and 15 inches (that’s 250, 300, and 380 millimeters). The color is black in all cases. The designers promise easy integration, even with speakers from other manufacturers.
Elipson Premium Sub 10
According to its designers, the Premium Sub 10 embodies the perfect balance between compact size and performance. Designed for medium-sized living spaces, this subwoofer features a 10-inch (250-millimeter) driver with a fiberglass cone, ensuring rigidity and responsiveness. The Class D amplifier delivers 300 watts of power, enabling dynamic and controlled bass reproduction.
The bass reflex design with the narrow slot-shaped port on the front is enhanced with an internal baffle and promotes laminar airflow to reduce distortion. The built-in DSP provides a +3 dB boost at 30 Hz, reinforcing low frequencies without exaggeration. Thanks to the precise adjustments (phase, crossover frequency, LFE), the Premium Sub 10 integrates seamlessly into any system, whether stereo or multichannel.

Elipson Premium Sub 12
The Premium Sub is a size larger and, according to Elipson, meets the needs of users seeking the ideal combination of power, depth, and precision. The driver features a 12-inch (300-millimeter) diameter fiberglass cone, as indicated by the model designation. A 500-watt Class D amplifier drives the cone. The internal structure features this product line’s signature laminar design with an internal baffle, minimizing unwanted noise generated by the port.
The built-in DSP amplifies the lowest frequencies (+3 dB @ 28 Hz) while maintaining what the company claims is perfect linearity. Fine-tuning (phase, crossover, LFE) ensures seamless integration into any two- or multi-channel environment.
The dimensions are 410 x 452 x 492 millimeters (H x W x D), and the Sub 12 weighs 27 kilograms. The suggested retail price is just under €900.

The flagship of the Premium series is the Premium Sub 15, featuring a 15-inch (380-millimeter) fiberglass cone. Its Class D amplifier delivers 650 watts of power for extremely deep and controlled bass.
According to the makers, the Premium Sub 15 is suitable for demanding environments such as large rooms or high-end home theaters, and the Sub 15 maintains its flawless performance even at high volumes. The Sub 15 also features a slotted bass port on the front.
