The Denon AVC-X3700H is a 9.2-channel AV receiver featuring nine discrete amplifiers, designed to decode advanced 3D audio formats such as DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. It can be configured for a maximum of 7.2.2 channels or expanded to 7.2.4 channels with the addition of an external stereo power amplifier. This receiver also includes support for DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, which create the effect of overhead sound in home theater setups lacking dedicated ceiling speakers. Additionally, it is compatible with IMAX Enhanced technology, utilizing a specialized version of the DTS codec to deliver sound and visuals that mirror the quality found in IMAX theaters.

The Denon AVC-X3700H receiver is designed to support 8K resolution, featuring one dedicated HDMI input among its seven available inputs for this purpose, and it can output 8K through two HDMI outputs. At this resolution, it supports a maximum screen refresh rate of 60 Hz, while for 4K, the refresh rate can reach up to 120 Hz. Additionally, the receiver can upscale 4K or Full HD signals from any of the seven HDMI inputs to 8K, ensuring a crisp and clear image.

The device is compatible with various HDR formats, including the latest HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR. Another notable feature is the on-screen display that provides information about the current video mode. Among its three HDMI outputs, one is equipped with an enhanced eARC return channel, allowing for the transmission of 3D audio formats such as Dolby Atmos directly from the television to the AV receiver. Other key features include an MM phono preamplifier, a range of digital inputs, and an 11.2-channel Pre Out. For speaker connections, the receiver offers eleven pairs of color-coded screw terminals.

The Denon AVC-X3700H model provides a peak power output of 180 W per channel at 6 Ohms, making it capable of driving low-impedance speakers effectively. It features the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 system for automatic speaker calibration. Additionally, it incorporates technologies such as Audyssey Dynamic EQ for frequency response adjustment, Dynamic Volume for optimizing volume levels, LFC for low-frequency enhancement, and Sub EQ HT for fine-tuning the receiver when using dual subwoofers.

The Denon AVC-X3700H receiver features a robust DSP-driven digital processing system capable of managing an 11.2-channel signal, with each channel utilizing a 32-bit AKM AK4458VN DAC. This device offers streaming capabilities, supporting playback of FLAC, ALAC, and WAV files at resolutions up to 24 bit / 192 kHz, as well as DSD up to 5.6 MHz, accessible through a local network or the front USB port. Additionally, it includes a Bluetooth module and a dual-band Wi-Fi system that enhances connectivity in congested networks, along with support for the AirPlay 2 protocol.

The receiver seamlessly integrates into the HEOS ecosystem, enabling the setup of a wireless multi-room system. This configuration allows for the management of multiple HEOS devices through a single application and offers access to various streaming services, including Spotify Connect, Deezer, Tidal, TuneIn, and more. You can operate the Denon AVC-X3700H via the remote control or the app, in addition to utilizing voice assistants such as Apple Siri, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant.
