Softears unveils VolumeS in-ear headphones

Softears VolumeS represents the latest advancement in the Softears lineup, succeeding the well-received Softears Volume. The manufacturer has made significant enhancements to both the design and internal architecture, introducing a hybrid driver configuration. Each earphone is equipped with two dynamic drivers: an active 10 mm silicone diaphragm driver and a passive 6 mm driver. Additionally, the model incorporates two balanced armature drivers. With the inclusion of a Japanese-made Copal switch on the housing, users can easily toggle between two sound modes—Classical and POP—allowing for tailored audio experiences across various music genres.

Softears VolumeS

The revised model features a state-of-the-art electronic crossover circuit, enhanced acoustic design, and reduced sound delays, all thanks to a meticulously engineered system of acoustic channels. These advancements position VolumeS as a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

The dual tuning capability introduces exciting options for users. The POP mode is tailored for contemporary music, utilizing the standard HRTF curve to deliver rich detail. In contrast, the Classical mode provides a more authentic sound, making it perfect for classical compositions. Users can easily switch between these modes using a dedicated tool.

The driver configuration incorporates both active and passive speakers. The passive driver is strategically inverted in relation to the active driver, which amplifies the bass response and enriches the overall sound. Our proprietary balanced armature drivers ensure consistent frequency reproduction across the spectrum.

To enhance audio quality, VolumeS employs RC Tuning Network technology, previously reserved for high-end models. This technology effectively manages frequency distribution among the drivers, minimizing distortion and ensuring clarity in sound.

Additionally, the thoughtfully designed pressure reduction system enhances comfort during wear and facilitates a swift response to low frequencies. The headphone housing is crafted from premium resin through advanced 3D printing techniques, while decorative panels made from aluminum alloy and carbon fiber contribute to the model’s sleek aesthetic.
