Beoplay Eleven: TWS headphones with advanced noise cancellation system

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Eleven – TWS headphones with advanced noise cancellation system

Bang & Olufsen has launched the Beoplay Eleven, their latest true wireless stereo (TWS) headphones, which the developers claim feature the most advanced active noise cancellation (ANC) technology to date. These headphones replace the well-received Beoplay EX model in the company’s lineup and are designed to deliver exceptional sound quality. They include an active noise cancellation system with a natural transparency mode and are equipped with six microphones to ensure clear call quality.

The Beoplay EX earphones, launched in 2022, marked a significant achievement for Bang & Olufsen. Crafted by designer Thomas Bentzen, these earphones reimagined Apple’s well-known stem-based design and contoured earbuds, infusing them with the brand’s hallmark sophisticated style. Built on the Qualcomm platform, the original Beoplay EX featured adaptive active noise cancellation and aptX Adaptive technology, utilizing a 9.2mm driver—the largest ever in a true wireless stereo (TWS) model—ensuring superior sound quality while maintaining comfort.

The design ethos of the Beoplay EX has been further developed in the newly released Beoplay Eleven TWS earbuds, which come in two eye-catching finishes: Natural Aluminum and Copper Tone. These finishes, reminiscent of fine jewelry, showcase polished aluminum with a gem-like luster, complemented by a lightweight and durable storage case that includes battery backup. The emphasis on high-quality materials and a premium aesthetic is also influenced by the recently launched Beoplay H100 earbuds, recognized as the most luxurious and advanced wireless noise-cancelling earbuds to date.

The Beoplay Eleven TWS earbuds are equipped with the same 9.2mm dynamic drivers found in the Beoplay EX. This new iteration incorporates the latest Bluetooth technology, allowing for multipoint connectivity. The supported audio codecs remain unchanged, including Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC. There has been no indication of an upgrade for the Beoplay Eleven earbuds to include LE Audio or Auracast. According to Bang & Olufsen, the active noise cancellation (ANC) system in this model is reported to be twice as effective as that of the Beoplay EX.

Additionally, the Beoplay Eleven TWS earphones come with a variety of high-quality silicone ear tips designed to accommodate different ear shapes, along with Comply memory foam tips for enhanced comfort and fit. With an IP57 rating, these earphones are suitable for use in both wet and sunny conditions.

The charging case for the Beoplay Eleven TWS earbuds supports Qi wireless charging. With active noise cancellation (ANC) enabled, the earbuds provide up to 6 hours of usage, extending to 8 hours without ANC. Additionally, the charging case offers a backup battery that can extend total usage time to 20 hours.

The Beoplay Eleven earbuds in Natural Aluminum are currently available, while the Copper Tone variant is set to launch on December 17, 2024. The suggested retail price for the Beoplay Eleven TWS earbuds is $499.
