Audio-Technica has introduced the ATH-ADX3000, a dynamic open-ear headphone featuring detachable cables. The package includes a robust aluminum case. The drivers have been designed in-house by the manufacturer. This exceptional product is priced at just below $1,000.
Audio-Technica ATH-ADX3000
The Audio-Technica ATH-ADX3000 has drivers with a diameter of 58 millimeters and weighs 257 grams without cable. The drivers are completely developed in-house. The specified frequency range is from 5 Hz to 45 kHz. Production is manual and takes place in Japan. The new drivers contain the same technology as the drivers from the ATH-ADX5000.
According to the press release, the coil is located centrally in the driver housing, which should provide better acoustic balance. The drivers are equipped with an iron magnet, which should result in an ‘exceptional’ dynamic audio reproduction. Audio-Technica supplies the headphones with a detachable three-meter cable and a custom-made aluminum carrying case.
The suggested retail price of the ADX3000 is just under 1,000 euros.
