The SMSL D200 is a newly released DAC and preamplifier designed for desktop audio systems, merging exceptional measurement performance with user-friendly functionality for daily use. This device utilizes the ROHM BD34352EKV DAC, operating alongside the proprietary CK-03 circuit to minimize jitter, and features a balanced preamplifier stage that incorporates two NJU72315 chips. This configuration achieves a remarkably low distortion level of 0.00019% and a high SINAD of up to 115.9 dB.
Additionally, the D200 offers Bluetooth playback capabilities through advanced LDAC and aptX HD codecs, and it can showcase track details and lyrics on its integrated display. The display is constructed from tempered glass with a laminated design, enhancing its durability and readability. For accurate synchronization, an external clock input is available, allowing the use of a standard 10 MHz signal or an atomic clock.

The device supports MQA and MQA-CD decoding, allowing you to play files in studio quality, and also works with PCM up to 32 bit / 768 kHz and DSD512. On board – USB, optical and coaxial inputs, as well as Bluetooth. The outputs are represented by balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA with a signal amplitude of 5 V and 2.5 V, respectively.
SMSL D200 organically complements other devices of the brand – CD transport PL200 and amplifier PA200. Together they form a complete system, where each component performs its own task – reading a digital signal, decoding and amplifying – with synchronization by a common clock.
