iFi GO blu Air is a new portable DAC and headphone amplifier with Bluetooth, created for those who want to maintain the sound quality of wired models, but get rid of unnecessary cables. The device is easily attached with a magnetic clip to a belt, clothes or bag, turning any headphones into wireless ones. At the same time, the built-in microphone with noise reduction makes it convenient not only for music, but also for calls.

Inside the compact case, there are three links – a Bluetooth module, a DAC and an amplifier, each of which is optimized for accurate sound transmission. The Cirrus Logic MasterHIFI series DAC is used, providing support for streams up to 24 bit / 96 kHz with minimal load on the battery. For some reason, the DAC model is hidden, presumably, it is the outdated Cirrus Logic CS43131. The amplifier is built on a symmetrical two-channel scheme and is capable of pumping up both in-ear models and full-size headphones. For sound customization, proprietary XBass and XSpace modes are available: the first adds density to low frequencies, the second expands the scene.

The device is equipped with a balanced 4.4 mm output and a 3.5 mm jack with S-Balanced technology, which reduces distortion when connecting single-channel headphones. Connection occurs in seconds, multi-point connections and memory for eight devices are supported. The metal body with an anodized coating is scratch-resistant, and the weight of the device is only 31 grams, so you can wear it unnoticed.

A MEMS microphone with echo and background noise suppression is responsible for calls. Power is provided by a 450 mAh battery, which is enough for about 10 hours of operation. Fast charging via USB-C gives about 2 hours of playback in just 15 minutes.
