Denon has announced the AVC-2850H, a 7.2-channel AV receiver equipped with the proprietary HEOS streaming platform. With the new Denon AVC-X2850H, the portfolio has been expanded, according to the manufacturer, with a 7.2-channel AV amplifier that combines the latest audio and video technologies in a single device. The amplifier delivers 95 watts per channel into eight ohms (when using two channels) and is designed to reproduce multichannel sound formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

The Denon AVC-X2850 has a total of six HDMI inputs, three of which are designed for 8K signals. There are also two HDMI outputs, one of which supports eARC. For gamers, features such as VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and QFT (Quick Frame Transport) are integrated for smooth, low-latency playback.

To adapt to individual listening rooms, Denon relies on the proven Audyssey MultEQ XT system. This automatically calibrates connected speakers and adapts the sound to the individual room acoustics. This is supplemented by channel level monitoring, which displays the speaker output levels on the screen in real time.
Denon AVC-X2850H: streaming with HEOS

Denon is the founder of the HEOS platform. Not only Denon devices are equipped with HEOS, but also devices from sister brand Marantz. Thanks to the integrated HEOS technology, the AVC-X2850H can not only play music locally, but also be integrated into a multi-room setup. Content can be streamed wirelessly throughout the home, whether it is the TV, a compatible turntable or network sources such as popular streaming services. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also available for wireless playback.

In addition to the HDMI interfaces, traditional audio inputs are provided, such as RCA line inputs, as well as a turntable input suitable for MM cartridges. The two optical inputs can be used, for example, for a CD drive or a television that doesn’t have an HDMI output. The amplifier thus has a wide range of applications and is suitable for both film and music enthusiasts and gamers who want to integrate surround sound into their gaming experience.

The AVC-X2850H measures 434 x 341 x 167 millimeters (W x D x H, antenna horizontal) and weighs 9.5 kilograms. It is available only in black.
