Thomas Mayer Compactron Preamplifier

Thomas Mayer has released the second version of the Compactron Preamplifier. The device is characterized by the shortest possible signal path and is equipped with a built-in MM/MC phono stage.

Thomas Mayer Compactron Preamplifier

Unlike the original release, the Thomas Mayer Compactron Preamplifier has a fixed gain (43 dB) for the MM section and the ability to select the gain for the MC section specifically for your cartridge (18, 22, 24, 28 or 30 dB). The main 14 dB amplification module is transformer-based, and the volume control also uses transformers.
