The SMSL PA-X is a newly developed compact power amplifier tailored for individuals who prioritize clear and stable audio without extraneous noise or excessive size. Constructed using advanced gallium nitride transistors, it boasts minimal distortion levels and can function in both stereo and mono configurations. With straightforward connectivity, dependable performance for daily use, and user-friendly controls, the PA-X is an excellent match for passive speakers, whether they are bookshelf types or floor-standing systems.
GaN transistors from Infineon provide high switching speed, which has a positive effect on detail and bandwidth, especially in the mid- and high-frequency range. Thanks to the mono mode, the PA-X is capable of delivering up to 500 W per channel, which means it can handle even demanding acoustics. Special attention should be paid to its own switching power supply, adapted for audio, and effective protection circuits against overheating and overload.
The front panel has a display with a volume control, and a remote control is provided for easy control from afar. The device is equipped with gold-plated RCA and XLR inputs, as well as a symmetrical mono input for use as a powerful monoblock.
