The Cayin Soul 170P is a new stereo tube amplifier in Class A, created on the basis of more than thirty years of experience of the company in the development of tube equipment. It is based on four TUNG-SOL KT170 output tubes, working in a push-pull configuration, which was the first use of Class A in the Soul line. The amplifier can work both in two-channel mode and in mono for increased power.
The circuit is built using different tubes for different stages. Two JJ 12AU7 are responsible for the initial signal amplification, providing a low level of distortion and stable operation. The driver stage has two 6SN7, which are valued for their balanced feed and high current drive. The circuit power is stabilized by a 17AX4GT tube, providing reliable rectification and a sound typical of tubes.

Soul 170P allows you to switch between triode and ultra-linear modes: the first one supplies 32 W per channel, the second one – 60 W. In mono mode, these values \u200b\u200bincrease to 64 and 120 W, respectively. The frequency range is declared from 8 Hz to 70 kHz (-3 dB).
The design implements a negative feedback circuit with two levels – high and low, which makes it possible to select the feed for specific acoustics and musical material: from more open and free to the most controlled and accurate.

Particular attention is paid to durability and ease of use. The Dynamic Auto Bias system automatically adjusts the operating parameters of the KT170, allowing you to change the tubes without manual adjustment, extending their service life and maintaining stability. Additionally, a “soft start” with a turn-on delay and multi-level protection with MCU logic are used.
The amplifier case is hand-assembled with point wiring, silver-plated internal wires, a toroidal power transformer and wide-band output transformers of our own winding are used. Aluminum anti-resonance supports are used for mechanical stability.
