Accuphase M-6200: Extreme mono power amplifier

Accuphase M-6200
Accuphase M-6200

Accuphase mono power amplifiers have always been at the forefront of the global audio industry. Many models have gone down in history as legendary. The Accuphase M-6200 approaches the power amplifier concept from a new perspective. By maintaining two completely identical amplification circuits in parallel, the M-6200 dramatically reduces noise and improves attenuation. The advantage of parallel operation is the significant amplification of the output current as well as the extremely low output impedance. Additionally, improvements to the NFB circuit using remote sensing and other technological improvements result in a damping factor greater than 1000 and make the amplifier capable of delivering constant current to extremely low impedance loads. At the input stage, parallel operation along with optimized gain distribution keeps noise levels to an absolute minimum, as illustrated by an amazing signal-to-noise ratio of 127 dB at maximum gain and 133 dB at the -12 dB gain setting.

The Accuphase M-6200 amplifier can be switched on in bridge mode, and the power will increase to 2400 Watts at 2 ohm load. The highest damping coefficient of 1000 allows you to control any, even the most complex acoustics. The Accuphase M-6200 power amplifier uses MCS+ technology and current feedback to deliver superior, clean, and transparent sound. A massive toroidal shielded transformer with two independent windings and two massive capacitors with a capacity of 56,000 uF each provide clean power to all circuits of this amplifier. It is equipped with powerful MOSFET transistors connected in parallel with low independence.

Each Accuphase M-6200 power amplifier has eight pairs of transistors connected in parallel. This power amplifier has a completely symmetrical circuit. Current feedback of the cascades gives excellent phase characteristics.

Accuphase M-6200 has a control with which you can reduce the gain (0, -3, -6, -12 dB). This device is equipped with a Normal mode switch, that is, Stereo, Dual Mono and Bridged. You can connect two pairs of speakers to it and switch them from the front panel of the power amplifier. Beautiful analogue dial indicators move mesmerizingly to the beat of the music. The gold-plated, high-quality speaker connectors allow you to connect spade-type cables. The Accuphase M-6200 amplifier allows you to reveal all the dynamic shades and at the same time does not lose musicality and the finest details, presenting them with amazing realism. The Accuphase M-6200 uses a completely parallel arrangement of amplification circuits, and this dramatically reduces the level of noise, interference and channel interference with each other.

Parallel connection of transistors provides a number of undeniable advantages:

1. The output current increases significantly.
2. The damping coefficient increases.
3. The signal-to-noise ratio improves.
4. The output impedance becomes extremely low.
