Music Hall mmf-9.3: Plug and play turntable in a High Gloss finish

Music Hall mmf-9.3
Music Hall mmf-9.3

The Music Hall MMF 9.3 turntable is based on the successful 9.1 model and has an improved design. The massive table is a stack of three MDF boards separated by vibration-insulating sorbothane pads. Several layers of piano lacquer provide additional damping. The entire structure rests on three steel cones with adjustable height (heel pads included), and the horizontality of the table is controlled using a miniature spirit level built in between the disc and the tonearm.

The motor is completely isolated from the player – it is placed in the cutout of the table in the left front part. A massive cylindrical support on elastic silicone legs prevents the spread of vibrations through the surface on which the system is installed. Rotation is transmitted to the disc by means of a long square-section belt, the tension of which is easily adjusted by lightly moving the motor. The rotation stabilizer is located under the bottom, on it there are buttons for switching speeds of 33/45 rpm. The player is powered by a network adapter. The axis of the acrylic disc, the thickness of which is 25 mm, rests on a ceramic bearing. When the motor is turned on with a key on its end, a bright blue LED lights up. The

AC drive motor is completely mechanically isolated from the chassis of the player, which consists of three fiberboard slabs separated by special inserts made of elastic carbonate inserts. In this case, the motor is installed diagonally from the location of the tonearm, which additionally eliminates the risk of transmitting vibrations to the pickup. This design allows for effective damping of any parasitic vibrations – both externally induced and created by the elements of the turntable itself. Music Hall MMF 9.3 is mounted on three cones turned from steel – three supports simplify the horizontal adjustment of the turntable on any surface. In addition, a round bubble level is mounted on the top panel of the player.

The turntable is equipped with a 1-inch thick acrylic support platter and an inverted ceramic bearing. The turntable design takes into account everything that can affect the sound quality. The tonearm counterweight is mounted in such a way as to lower the center of gravity to the level of the pickup, and has damping. The tonearm is equipped with VTA and anti-skating adjustments. The output contacts of the RCA jacks of the Music Hall MMF 9.3 are gold-plated. The turntable is supplied with a damping pad for the platter and a dust cover.
