The audio company Goldring, with a history of almost 120 years, now known for its cartridges and heads for vinyl players, returns to the audio market after 20 years with the GR3 model, which has a built-in phono preamplifier. The new product was created with the participation of the British Armour Home, a specialized manufacturer and distributor, known for the brands Q Acoustics, QED, Goldring, Audica, Systemline and Q Acoustics Install.
Perhaps it was under the influence of Armour Home that the new turntable was made in the now popular user-friendly spirit and is ready to play “straight out of the box”. For this purpose, it is equipped with a pre-installed proprietary MM cartridge, which ensures improved channel separation and sound resolution.
The Goldring GR3 is equipped with a factory-installed Goldring E3 MM cartridge and is ready to use immediately without any complicated setup procedure. The cartridge is designed in the UK, and precise adjustment of the needle position during production guarantees stable and reliable operation throughout its service life. The built-in phono preamplifier allows you to connect the device to any amplifier or active speakers. The manufacturer recommends the Q Acoustics M20 or M40 active speaker systems as ideal companions – they are powerful, easy to use, have a musical sound, and also have a great design.
The massive cast disc in the Goldring GR3 is made of phenolic resin with a high inertia effect, ensuring maximum inertia and stable rotation speed. This is achieved by distributing a significant part of its mass closer to the outer edge, which helps reduce speed fluctuations during rotation. The low coefficient of wow and flutter, in turn, ensures high fidelity of audio signal reproduction.
For reliable and high-quality connection, the Goldring GR3 comes with high-quality interconnect cables from the world-famous brand QED: a 1.5-meter RCA-RCA cable and a 3-meter RCA-mini-jack cable. The Goldring GR3 player has an elegant design: a glossy black chassis and a dust-proof acrylic cover give the GR3 a sophisticated aesthetic that matches its excellent sound.
