CD Projekt RED is once again expanding the world of Cyberpunk 2077—this time beyond video games and into tabletop territory. The studio has officially unveiled Cyberpunk: Trading Card Game, a physical collectible card game developed by WeirdCo, the creative team behind Marvel Snap, Duel Masters, and Universus. The new project promises to bring the neon-soaked chaos, iconic characters, and high-tech grit of Night City to a brand-new format designed for collectors and strategy enthusiasts alike.

According to the developers, the game is being built from the ground up with close artistic collaboration. CD Projekt RED has brought in well-known illustrators to reinterpret the franchise’s most beloved characters, ensuring the card art reflects the atmosphere that Cyberpunk 2077 fans expect—stylish, bold, and intensely cinematic.

Familiar faces, reimagined for the tabletop

In an interview with IGN, the project’s creators revealed that players will be able to collect a wide selection of character variants representing major figures from the Cyberpunk universe. This includes:

  • V

  • Johnny Silverhand

  • Panam Palmer

  • Judy Alvarez

  • Adam Smasher

  • and many more still under wraps

But CD Projekt RED isn’t stopping at the video game cast. The team confirmed that characters from the hit anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will also appear in the card pool. While no specific list has been announced, this opens the door to long-requested favorites like Rebecca, Lucy, and David Martinez.

Gameplay details remain secret—but the direction is clear

While WeirdCo hasn’t yet revealed the rule set, mechanics, or deck-building systems, early hints suggest a design philosophy similar to what the team brought to Marvel Snap—only deeper, more tactical, and tailored for physical play.

Players can expect:

  • classic tabletop CCG mechanics

  • expanded role-playing elements

  • character-driven strategies

  • unique traits tied closely to Cyberpunk lore

In other words: a game that feels familiar to card enthusiasts, but unmistakably Cyberpunk at its core.

A bold new collectible launch for 2026

Cyberpunk: Trading Card Game is currently slated for a 2026 release, and CD Projekt RED says it does not anticipate delays. While a specific launch window has yet to be announced, fans don’t need to wait to get involved. The studio has opened early registration on the official Launch Oracle webpage, where players can sign up to receive an exclusive promotional card featuring Lucy from Edgerunners.

The reveal trailer showcases striking card art and dynamic visual effects, giving fans an early taste of Night City’s transition into the world of tabletop gaming.
