The Danish company Vestlyd releases two new models of acoustic systems V12C and V15C , designed in a classic style and built on coaxial speakers.
Between themselves, they differ in the size of the case and the low-frequency emitter. The Vestlyd V12C is housed in a 622 x 392 x 367mm bass-reflex housing and weighs 24kg . The coaxial driver includes a 25mm titanium tweeter loaded onto a small aluminum horn. The woofer is equipped with a paper cone with a diameter of 305 mm and a ferrite magnet system with an additional aluminum ring. This solution, according to the developers, allows you to compensate for the non-linearity at medium frequencies.
The bigger model Vestlyd V15C differs in the size of the woofer – the cone diameter is 380 mm – as well as in overall dimensions and weight. With a size of 742 x 468 x 417 mm , one speaker weighs 34 kg. The speaker cabinets are made of fiberboard 31 mm thick and additionally reinforced with internal ties. The creators of acoustic systems emphasize that during the development they sought to let the listener feel the full power and scope of the concert sound.
The sensitivity of the Vestlyd V12C is 93 dB , the Vestlyd V15C has a slightly higher sensitivity of 95 dB , while the impedance of both models does not fall below 5 ohms .
Speaker systems Vestlyd V12C and Vestlyd V15C are sold in the European market for 1300 euros and 1800 euros , respectively.
