To celebrate its 30th anniversary, AVID has launched the AVID Evo Two floorstanding speakers, enhancing the British brand’s premium Evo series. The new AVID Evo Two speakers represent an advancement over the Evo Three model. Designed by AVID founder Conrad Mas, they aim to deliver better bass response, a broader dynamic range, and a more expansive soundstage compared to earlier models.
The crossover circuit employs ClarityCap capacitors to lower signal path resistance and decrease distortion at the edges of the circuit, leading to a purer and less compromised sound.
The speaker cabinets are engineered to minimize undesirable vibrations through AVID’s Tuned Mass Technology, which absorbs the energy generated by the drivers before it can be transmitted to the cabinet, thereby reducing distortion and enhancing clarity.
As stated by AVID Managing Director Konrad Maas: “The Evo Two was created based on customer feedback, which expressed a desire for a loudspeaker that delivers robust and clear bass while preserving the clarity and openness characteristic of the EVO series.”
The AVID Evo Two floorstanding loudspeakers come in black and white piano lacquer finishes and are set to launch in September 2025, with a recommended retail price of €34,995 / $38,995 USD.
