ONIX Beta XI2 is a new portable DAC and amplifier that combines digital precision and tube sound character. The device is based on two Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs, responsible for detailed and transparent music playback with support for modern formats. Thanks to the improved amplifier architecture using 4 BUF634 and 2 OPA1662, Beta XI2 is capable of developing power up to 550 mW at a 32 Ohm load, which makes it suitable for most headphones, including demanding models.
The device’s special feature is a built-in tube cascade on dual JAN6418. The tubes are hidden inside the case, but the side windows allow you to see the soft glow during operation, creating the atmosphere of classic audio systems. This hybrid approach combines the clarity of the transistor path and the musicality of the tube character.
ONIX Beta XI2 – DAC/Headphone Amplifier with Dual CS43198
The device is equipped with a small 0.87-inch OLED screen and a user-friendly interface that displays playback modes, volume level and current parameters. The case design is made in the style of the previous XI1 model, but is slightly elongated and widened to accommodate the updated components. The metal case provides reliability, while maintaining compactness for everyday use.
