The Full Score One headphone amplifier, manufactured by Austrian Audio, is now available for purchase in Europe and the UK. This highly anticipated product was initially unveiled at the CanJam SoCal exhibition in California last autumn.
This innovative product incorporates the exclusive True Transient technology, which aims to faithfully reproduce transient processes like the impactful click of a bass drum or the resonating sound of a guitar string. With a maximum output voltage of 19 dBV and 9 Vrms at 0.01% THD, the Full Score One is capable of driving both low and high impedance headphones, ranging from 10 ohms to over 300 ohms.
The amplifier's front panel offers a 4-pin balanced XLR output and two 6.35 mm TRS outputs for connecting headphones. At the back of the case, you'll find a balanced input with XLR connectors and an unbalanced input with RCA connectors. The amplifier circuit is constructed solely using discrete elements.
Austrian Audio CEO Martin Seidl says: “The technical approach to designing our first headphone amplifier was comparable to creating a very low-noise power amplifier. The Full Score One works with low-impedance headphones up to 10 ohms and high-impedance, low-sensitivity headphones with impedances over 300 ohms.”
The Austrian Audio Full Score One headphone amplifier is currently available for purchase at a suggested retail price of €1,499.
