Asymmetrical Brass Acoustic Resonator
In an effort to solve the acoustic problems associated with standing waves in closed-back dynamic headphones, MOONDROP took inspiration from the design of the renowned MDR-R10 closed-back dynamic headphones. The Joker integrates a large acoustic chamber made of brass, characterized by an asymmetrical design, carefully machined by stamping to achieve a lightweight body.
An arsenal of acoustic damping materials makes it possible to suppress the occurrence of standing waves in the internal cavity. The inclusion of a damping pressure valve as well as a damping acoustic architecture work synergistically to produce precise tonal characteristics and fast, detailed response. This complex combination provides unparalleled acoustic finesse, allowing the Joker to truly shine.
