Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen: Award-winning headphones with elegant design and quality workmanship

Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen
Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen

Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen headphones have full-size open housings, the back of which is covered with a fine metal mesh. For their elegant design and high quality workmanship with precise attention to detail, the T1 headphones received the prestigious Red Dot Design award. Therefore, in the T1 2nd Gen model, it was decided to leave the appearance of the headphones the same, focusing the developers’ attention on further improving sound quality. The velor ear pads of the headphones are filled with memory foam material, thanks to which they sit tightly and at the same time comfortably on the head. The headband of the headphones is equipped with a shock-absorbing pad made of artificial leather.

The main highlight of the T1 2nd Gen design, of course, is the use of high-quality proprietary dynamic emitters, the field power of the magnetic systems of which is 1 Tesla. This ensures the T1 2nd Generation’s high sensitivity, which in turn allows for excellent detail and balance in sound, as well as the significant sound pressure required to accurately reproduce the dynamics of modern music recordings.

T1 2nd Gen have a high impedance (600 Ohms), so the highest sound quality with their help can only be obtained when listening through specialized high-class amplifiers. Beyerdynamic recommends using its A1 amplifier with these headphones, but good results can be obtained by using appropriate equipment from other brands, including tube ones. T1 2nd Generation is equipped with a detachable 3 meter cable with a high purity copper conductor and a 3.5 mm diameter connector, and includes a gold-plated 6.3 mm adapter with threaded fixation. In the updated version of the headphones, the cable has a fabric outer braid, which further reduces the microphone effect. The T1 2nd Generation also comes with a chic, hard leather storage case.
