HeartField R1 is a portable headphone amplifier with an R2R digital-to-analog converter.
R2R technology is the perfect choice for those who seek accurate sound reproduction and true analog signal conversion. Unlike the widely used Delta-Sigma (Δ-Σ) and 1-bit converter technologies, which create analog signals by modulating digital data, R2R DACs convert digital signals into true analog signals using a network of resistors. This avoids the errors typical of other technologies and accurately reproduces even constant-current (DC) signals.
Special R2R architecture
Our device is equipped with 32 ultra-precise resistors per channel, 64 resistors in total, which creates a fully discrete R-2R DAC. Each resistor has a tolerance of 0.1%, which ensures uncompromising accuracy and unrivaled sound quality.
