The Gustard R30 is an innovative DAC designed using a discrete R-2R architecture, crafted by the company’s engineers to deliver the most authentic analog sound. This device utilizes a resistor matrix that directly converts the digital signal, bypassing conventional delta-sigma chips. Such a method ensures that the essence of the audio remains as true to a live performance as possible.
For DSD playback, the R30 uses its own True-1 Bit converter, which supports up to DSD1024. This allows you to work with the signal without intermediate conversion to PCM, thereby preserving the accuracy and dynamics of the original material.
Particular attention has been paid to digital processing: multi-level upsampling algorithms eliminate distortion and increase detail, creating a clean and smooth presentation without the harshness typical of many classic DACs.
The signal synchronization is provided by a highly stable SC-Cut OCXO generator and a GCLK-02 module. This system reduces jitter and guarantees precise frequency matching with an error of 1 Hz. For enthusiasts, there is the possibility of connecting an external clock.
The power supply is built on two toroidal transformers, each of which is responsible for separate circuits – digital and analog. This reduces mutual influence and ensures clean operation of the device even under high loads.
