Meze is a Romanian manufacturer of unusual wooden headphones. The history of Meze is a history of improving technology day after day. Founded in 2009, Meze was born out of our passion for pure sound. We love music and well-made things. In the beginning, we took small steps, gaining knowledge by experimenting with components that were already on the market, and striving to achieve the best sound. The result is a headphone entirely designed by us that sets the Meze brand apart from the rest of the pack.

We develop each of the products as if for ourselves, with the goal of creating devices that you can fall in love with. We are sure: style, quality and excellent sound are exactly what music lovers need. We want our client to receive a pair of headphones that will make them stand out from the crowd. The Meze team consists of young and ambitious people. Each of the employees is interested in music and design, and is actively involved in sports. Our goal is to exceed the capabilities of existing products, create something new, but at the same time adhere to the values and philosophy of quality sound. How does the production process work? First, the wood is dried: this takes up to one and a half years. Then the cups are formed: each wooden ear cup is cut on a machine, and then manually polished and brought to the desired condition. It takes 45 days. And only after that the assembly begins. The wood used for the headphones is strictly old: in this way, Meze helps preserve the environment and “gives wood another chance.”

In addition to the wood used at the core of all the manufacturer’s headphones, zinc alloys, foam and soft artificial leather are used: Meze is proud that it does not use plastic at all. There is also no glue used: all connections are made using nuts and bolts. The company especially emphasizes that aesthetics are no less important to them than to customers and call their headphones “a work of art that is timeless.”
