Japanese manufacturer SPEC has introduced the RSA-EX1000 integrated amplifier, featuring a newly designed main board and significantly reduced internal wiring. The circuit connecting the level controller to the low-pass filter is optimized to minimize internal resistance, decrease interference, and ensure that even the faintest sounds are preserved.
In its power supply section, the RSA-EX1000 is outfitted with a 600VA R-core transformer, known for its high efficiency and low energy consumption. To enhance performance, the amplifier incorporates carefully selected capacitors.

To mitigate interference, the entire interior of the amplifier chassis is treated with EMC paint. Additionally, the amplifier includes internal EMC shielding and employs electromagnetic wave absorption sheets to further enhance electromagnetic isolation.
The amplifier delivers a maximum output power of 200W per channel at 4Ω, with a frequency response range of 10Hz to 30kHz (±1dB). It is compatible with speakers ranging from 4Ω to 16Ω and features two sets of XLR inputs along with three sets of RCA inputs. A remote control is also included.

SPEC emphasizes that “amplifiers are musical instruments,” which influences their choice of materials in the construction of the enclosures. The RSA-EX1000 features a side frame made of maple wood and a chassis constructed from spruce laminate wood. This material selection not only enhances the visual appeal but also improves the overall acoustic performance of the amplifier.
The dimensions of the RSA-EX1000 are 450x180x523.5 mm, and it has a weight of 28 kg.
