The Swiss company has begun shipping new 7-series preamplifiers, presented for the first time this spring at an exhibition in Munich. It includes the 727 and 757, both of which are top-of-the-line models and were developed from the ground up.
The previous Soulution 727 is characterized by a signal-to-noise ratio of -170 dB – this is 20 dB better than previous models of the brand. Bandwidth has been expanded to 20 MHz, channel separation has been improved by 30 dB, and distortion has been reduced to undetectable levels.
The Soulution 757 model is a correction amplifier for turntables, capable of working not only with traditional MM and MC cartridges, but also with DS Audio optical pickups. Another rare opportunity is to process signals received directly from the playback heads of analog tape recorders, while the device provides better processing quality than the built-in playback amplifier of recorders, in particular, it provides frequency response accuracy of +/- 0.1 dB in the range of 20 Hz – 20 kHz and bandwidth up to 2 MHz. The price has not yet been announced.
