Although the films received mixed reviews, many fans have retained a special fondness for Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker \u2013 an actor who managed to give the character a more vulnerable and human touch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"614\" id=\"679\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But for those who were hoping for a comeback, now comes bad news.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"686\" id=\"722\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8220;It&#8217;s not going to happen&#8221;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"724\" id=\"917\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Garfield was asked about the rumors that have been circulating for months \u2013 namely that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is allegedly in secret development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"919\" id=\"955\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Garfield answered briefly but clearly:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"956\" id=\"1062\">\n<p class=\"958\" id=\"1062\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8220;It&#8217;s not happening, and I don&#8217;t think it ever will. But it&#8217;s very kind of you to want it.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"1064\" id=\"1185\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">With that, he put a final stop to speculation that Sony was planning to revive his version of Spider-Man.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"1192\" id=\"1235\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Why the trilogy was never completed<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"1237\" id=\"1548\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The two films \u2013 <\/span><em class=\"1253\" id=\"1277\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Amazing Spider-Man<\/span><\/em><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> (2012) and <\/span><em class=\"1288\" id=\"1314\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Amazing Spider-Man 2<\/span><\/em><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> (2014) \u2013 were released with great expectations following Sam Raimi&#8217;s successful trilogy.
